Perles d'Ohrid

 

Afin de préserver la beauté de votre bijou en perles d'Ohrid pendant de nombreuses années, veuillez suivre ces quelques recommandations :

 

  • Évitez d'appliquer tout type de parfum ou de liquide sur les perles d'Ohrid.

 

  • Lorsque vous utilisez du parfum, appliquez-le d'abord, puis mettez vos bijoux en perles d'Ohrid.

 

  • Évitez de porter des bijoux en perles d'Ohrid lorsque vous vous lavez les cheveux, appliquez une coloration ou effectuez des soins de la peau. Les shampoings, les colorations et les lotions capillaires pourraient décolorer les perles.

 

  • Les perles ne doivent pas entrer en contact avec l'eau, douce ou salée.

 

  • Protégez vos perles d'Ohrid des rayures. Il est recommandé de ne pas porter d'autres bijoux en même temps que vos perles d'Ohrid afin d'éviter les frottements.

 

  • Il est recommandé d'essuyer les perles avec un chiffon doux, ou un chiffon spécialement conçu pour le nettoyage des perles.

En suivant ces instructions simples, vous prolongerez considérablement sa durée de vie.

 

Après avoir porté vos perles d'Ohrid pendant environ cinq ans, elles peuvent être rénovées par le fabricant, la famille Talevi d'Ohrid, en Macédoine du Nord. L'aspect et la couleur de leur surface seront alors encore plus éclatants qu'à l'origine. En réalité, après chaque rénovation, les perles d'Ohrid gagnent en beauté.

 

Veuillez noter que Flower Fairy Company conçoit et fabrique nos bijoux, mais ne produit pas les perles. Les coordonnées du fabricant des perles figurent dans le manuel produit Talevi Family fourni avec chaque bijou en perles d'Ohrid.

To keep your Preciosa Beads looking their best, follow these guidelines:

General care

  • Handle gently: avoid dropping or exposing Preciosa beads to excessive force, which could chip or scratch them.

  • Keep them dry: water can damage thread and certain bead finishes, so remove beaded jewelry before showering, swimming, or washing your hands.

  • Avoid chemicals: chemicals in perfumes, hairspray, cosmetics, and cleaning supplies can affect bead finishes. Apply these products before putting on your jewelry.

  • Prevent excessive friction: repeated rubbing can wear away finishes and coatings.

  • Store properly: when not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep beads in their original packaging or use storage pots with compartments to prevent scratches and chips, separating different colors, sizes, and shapes.

  • Regularly wipe down: after each wear, gently wipe your beads with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils, dirt, or perspiration.​

 

Cleaning Preciosa beads

  • Glass and crystal beads: clean with a soft cloth dampened with a mild dish soap solution and lukewarm water, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Do not immerse the pieces in water. Rinse with clear water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

  • Silver lining: silver lining can be sensitive to sulfur, acid, and chlorine, so avoid exposing these beads to such substances.

  • Dyed beads with finishes: while some finishes are designed to be fade-resistant and washable, it's generally best to handwash items with special finishes in lukewarm water with mild detergent.

  • For tougher grime or tarnish (on metal findings, not beads): you can use solutions like baking soda and water or a mild jewelry cleaner. Be cautious and test a small, inconspicuous area first. 

 

Additional tips

  • Check the bead's properties: different types of beads (e.g., glass, gemstone, metallic finishes) may have different care requirements. Refer to manufacturer's instructions or specific bead type information if available.

  • Be mindful of the stringing material: when cleaning strung beads, ensure the thread or wire dries completely to prevent deterioration.

  • Consider sealants: for metallic or galvanized seed beads, a sealant or fixative may help protect the finish against wear, fading, and tarnishing. â€‹

 

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your Preciosa beads retain their sparkle and beauty for years to come.
